At Riverwood Punchbowl Anglican everything we do is about Jesus. We want to connect with people and ultimately, we want to help connect to Jesus. As a church we are called to play a part in our local community and the world for Jesus. You don’t need to be good, religious, or have it all together to join us on a Sunday. Jesus is for everyone – people of all stages, ages, and places. So is our church. Everyone is welcome. We mean that.
Our services revolve around the Bible, because we believe the Bible is God’s way of communicating with us. It tells us about how he reached out to the world by sending Jesus. We’re pretty keen on the Bible we think it tells the greatest story ever told. All of our bible talks come directly from the Bible so you can read it later and realise that what we say is what the Bible says.
Riverwood Punchbowl Anglican is mission to grow a vibrant multicultural church community centred on Jesus and his message of grace for all who believe. We want to see people connect with Jesus, grow mature as followers of Jesus and find ways to serve Jesus. But at the same time, we connect with each other, grow together and find ways to serve each other and our community.
We are a group of ordinary people from all walks of life, with different stories, backgrounds, histories, cultures, ages, and abilities.
We are a community that gathers under God, to learn about Him, love and care for each other and our community.
We are not perfect, we are just a group of people doing life together as God would want us to do.
Jarrod is married to Jo and they have three kids. Jarrod loves living and serving as a Pastor in the south-west of Sydney, with all its diversity, and awesome food! He is passionate about sharing with people of all backgrounds and cultures the great love God has for them and the new life that is available to everyone through Jesus. He enjoys meals with friends and family, reading, watching movies and sports, and walking his dogs.
We believe that the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
We would love for you to come and join us, in fact, we are a church that is always looking at ways we can reach out into our community.
